I have been waiting for this specific language to be used. These scumbags conducted illegal acts in order to violate the voting rights of millions of Americans both before ans after the election.
To have this specific language used by a lawmaker tells us exactly where things are headed. Not only that, but the charge of conspiracy allows prosecutors broad flexibility and power to nail groups and individuals in those groups. Just ask the mob.
Prosecutors use conspiracy to go up the ladder and widen the net. Nail an underling on committing the act and then all you have to do is prove the underling acted on behalf of the group and you get them all.
Example. Five guys get together and talk about killing someone but only one of them carries out the murder. File conspiracy to commit murder charges, prove that they conspired, and they all go down.
