Trump begins by saying there is going to be a wonderful trade deal with South Korea. He says he'll let Wilbur Ross speak about that, and then he'll move on to the "ridiculous situation" of the last week.
Ross says they're close to a deal with South Korea, and they hope to have a "real announcement" next week. The end.
Trump claims, with no elaboration or evidence, that there is "tremendous" "opposition to the military" from Democrats.
Trump falsely claims for the second time that this bill gives the largest pay increase to the troops in "over a decade." It's smaller than Obama's increase in 2010.
Trump says Republicans were essentially "forced" to agree to lots of bad provisions in exchange for military funding. He tells Congress: "I will never sign another bill like this again. I'm not going to do it again."
This would be correct if he said "the largest increase in nine years." Nobody would fact check it even if he said "in a decade." Trump insists on making things false for no reason at all.
Trump calls for a line-item veto for spending bills.
The numbers: Obama approved a 3.4% military pay increase for the 2010 fiscal year. For the 2019 fiscal year, Trump is approving a 2.6% increase.
Trump goes back and forth on wall funding, touting his success in securing some funding but saying it's not enough.

He adds, as usual, that the wall needs to be see-through.
"Praise be to God" we never have to use our nuclear arsenal, Trump says,
Trump says the military was "depleted" even before the Obama presidency. (?)
It still seems that Trump might well think that stealth fighters are literally invisible. "It's very tough to beat a plane when you can't see it," he says.
Trump is listing specific military programs the bill funds, then immigration items.

"While we're very disappointed in the $1.3 trillion - nobody more disappointed than me because the number's so large; it'll start coming down - ...no choice but to fund our military," he says.
Finished with his text, Trump begins ad-libbing about the opioid crisis. "We'll be suing certain drug companies for what they've done with the opioids." "People go to the hospital for a period of a week, they come out, they're drug addicts."
Trump addressing DACA recipients with some more dishonesty: Democrats "did not want DACA in this bill," but "Republicans are with you."
Trump keeps nearing a conclusion and then continuing to talk.
Trump, taking a question about his veto threat as he leaves, says, "I was thinking about doing a veto, but because of the incredible gains we've been able to make for the military, that overrode..."
Trump's last line of the day is his usual false claim about China: "Last year, we lost $500 billion on trade." The deficit with goods trade alone was $375 billion, the net deficit counting goods and services trade was $337 billion, $500 billion is Trump's invention.
Absolutely. I tend to let this go in making the point that his deficit numbers are extremely wrong even if you take his highly disputed "losing" premise.
