I did a radio thing with a Republican operative awhile back who told me, after the segment, that he didn’t believe anything he’d said and that the party was dangerous. “I’ve got bills,” is what he said. This is why we’re in this mess.
Can’t help but think of that after that Atlantic article wondering if Democrats has made a bad political move backing Civil Rights. What garbage.
Politics should be about making the world better through conviction. This maneuvering for wealth and power is a disease that has infected the body politic in this country and needs cured.
