तथा शरीराणि विहाय जीर्णा न्यन्यानि संयाति नवानि देही ।।
vāsāṃsi jīrṇāni yathā vihāya navāni gṛhṇāti naro'parāṇi ।
tathā śarīrāṇi vihāya jīrṇā nyanyāni saṃyāti navāni dehī ।।
जीर्णानि शरीराणि - collapsed bodies, विहाय - abandon, अन्यानि नवानि - other new bodies, संयाति - gains

Just as we discard garments when they become old & go for new ones, so does Atma. It discards old & collapsing bodies in favour of new ones..
Shastra says that those who die in battlefield leave their 'nara-sharIra' & attain 'deva-sharIra'
But can we blindly say new body is better than old?
The usage of 'anyāni' clearly affirms that it is better, new & different than existing body

Same as above, but without the stress on 'nyāni navāni'..
