Can we just take a step back and stand agape at the forest? We have likely never seen a president in the kind of legal jeopardy as @realDonaldTrump is in the history of our republic. Consider:
* Unlike Nixon, Trump has no credible claim to executive privilege.

* Which means, unlike Nixon, he will almost surely have to answer questions about whether he obstructed justice. A special counsel has been convened and has around 50 *topics* he'd like to cover with the President.

* Most assume that the president is unable to sit for such a deposition without committing additional crimes (perjury)
* The president already kinda sorta admitted to obstructing justice on national TV
* The former FBI director took contemporaneous notes which suggest obstruction

* The special counsel is *ALSO* investigating whether the president and his campaign colluded with a foreign government to influence an American election.

* 19 people have been indicted in connection with that investigation.
* One of those people is the president's former campaign manager
* 5 people have pleaded guilty
* One of those is the campaign manager's longtime deputy.

* The president's personal lawyer is about to be indicted. He's been investigated not by a special counsel, but by the SDNY for campaign fraud and bank fraud.
* The FBI has raided that lawyer's house and office, collecting reams of documents they claim are not privileged.

* The president's personal lawyer is also being challenged, in civil court, for a hush money payment he made to a porn star who claims to have had sex with the president.

* The porn star's lawyer has sued the president directly for defamation in his personal capacity.
* The president has also been sued for defamation by a woman who claims the president sexually assaulted her.
* That suit has already survived a motion to dismiss.

And that's what is ALREADY ON THE BOARD. We're not talking about Emoluments. We're barely talking about things that president has done *since he took office*. These are just the legal actions already in motion against the @realDonaldTrump

* OH, and I forget that the Democratic National Committee sued the Trump campaign UNDER RICO for conspiracy and tresspass.

Nixon was dealing with ONE break-in. Clinton was dealing with a couple of extra-marital affairs. U.S. Grant had some corrupt underlings.

... @realDonaldTrump is in the actual suck. When you step back, you can see that Birnam Wood has Dunsinane COMPLETELY SURROUNDED.
