/ Take the following with a grain of salt, but here are some thoughts/strategies on what I believe can get you in the door into junior VC
/ Become a human router -- your inbox should be full of "<>" connecting people, investors and investors, investors and founders, founders and potential hires
/ But don't just randomly connect people - take the time to build genuine relationships (could start with a coffee chat or cold outreach, then various updates to get to know someone)
/ For intros, ALWAYS double opt-in - > rarely an exception to this rule
/ Push content out there. Take the time to form thoughtful opinions on companies, markets, trends, etc. If you're writing a blog or Tweeting, this will form public time stamps of your opinions and can lead to inbound messages
/ Do the job before it comes to you. Most of junior VC is sourcing heavy, so why not go out there and start sourcing? Think of creative strategies to get on the phone with founders who you believe are about to raise
/ Find a way to be helpful to founders. See if you can connect them with an intern or run through some articles that are pertinent to their business. BUT be super thoughtful about how you engage - a founder's time is THE most precious thing
/ Hack and build. Find areas/problems that are interesting to you and go talk to customers and build product. If you're non-technical, there's tons of tools like Airtable, Typeform to help you get something off the ground.
