For two days someone who has self identified as a “nutritionist” argued with me about this- despite me sending research to show that plant based diets are helpful and can cover all our needs, from pregnancy to athletes. I can not believe how lacking in knowledge people are. The position of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is that:

“protein from a variety of plant foods eaten during the course of a day supplies enough of all essential amino acids when caloric requirements are met.”

It's so heartwarming to receive messages from new & transitioning vegans, taking the step to make ethical choices for the animals.
consider.

Veganism is a lifestyle, & so I wanted to create a thread to help with common, everyday items 💚 #Veganuary #vegan #veganville 1. Cosmetics 💄

Not only will you want to avoid products that have been tested on animals, but you will also want items that don't contain byproducts.
