Also notice that "Soros" for George Soros appears significantly in that wordcloud above. Not surprising because there's been a long ongoing #disinfo campaign to suggest Soros funds all of these #BLM & #Antifa protests making him the single largest employer in the US <sarcasm>

Literally within 30 seconds of looking you can find a #Qanon / conspiracy meme like this .... pinning all the world's woes on George Soros. It is quite incredible and he has been the boogeyman for Russia, the far-right and now #Qanon for yrs. #disinfo #osint #infosec

So the other interesting hashtag / topic that is more recent and growing in its messaging is #DefundThePolice . Here was the first tweet on June 5th that a few of the pro-Kremlin #Hamilton68 troll accounts we follow promoted.

Usage of the hashtag #DefundThePolice (circled in yellow) is growing among this subset of pro-Kremlin #Hamilton68 trolls most focused on Russian Geopolitics. Wordcloud of 26849 recent tweets, 06/07 - 06/09/20. Of note this group hasn't used it in yrs. IRA accounts used it in 2016

Like I mentioned earlier in this thread the first pro-Kremlin troll in this #hamilton68 subset to boost a #DefundThePolice tweet was recent on June 5th, 2020. But prior to this it first appeared among Russian trolls, specifically of the IRA variety in 2016. #disinfo #osint

It turns out among Russian IRA accounts, the hashtags #abolishthePolice & #abolishPolice were also used sparingly in 2015-2017. For this current subset of pro-Kremlin #Hamilton68 accounts we have seen, so far, only a couple usages 4 only the #AbolishPolice hashtag #disinfo #osint

Back to the usage of Antifa for a moment. The 1st pro-Kremlin troll in this specific #hamilton68 subset boosted this tweet by a domestic #MAGA account DananaMama about Antifa on 05/02/20. Antifa usage later peaked around May 30 during #GeorgeFloyd protests & has been steady since

Interestingly there was a very prominent peak in usage of Antifa by the Russian IRA trolls back in mid August 2017 to try and counter the negative press the alt-right got during the "Unite the Right" protest in Charlottesville, VA. The both-sides argument. #disinfo #osint #antifa

To be clear a number of our other subsets of pro-kremlin #Hamilton68 trolls, and our new alt-left subset have been using #Antifa on & off for yrs to demonize the left and try to muddy the waters by saying both sides, alt-left and alt-right have violent protestors. #disinfo #osint

And almost on cue Giuliani pulls out a word salad of #Antifa, George Soros, Socialism, New World Order, defunding the police and scary Autonomous Zones on #FoxNews. h/t @Krazy_Kris

By now most, who know how to read, know that Russian propagandists like to & are quite experienced at playing both sides. Over the past 18 mnths or so we have created a set of accounts (based on much of the #Hamilton68 criteria we reverse engineered) that are pro-Kremlin alt-left

Heres the wordcloud from this set of pro-kremlin alt-left trolls between June 6 - 10th. #DefundThePolice is even more prominent within this set. Of note is the hashtag #ados & the fact that #GeorgeFloyd hashtag is oddly absent if these were legit activist accounts #disinfo #osint
