2/- #Tedros from @WHO presented a false #Covid19 and #Flu mortality comparison on 3 March 2020 by conflating Case Fatality Rate CFR of Covid mortality with Infection Fatality Rate IFR of Flu mortality which created worldwide fear and panic. This was deliberate.

3/- #JohnIoannidis @StanfordMed debunked and refuted #Tedros statement saying CFR 3.4% figure causes horror and was meaningless.
He proved this clinically and @WHO had to publish his paper in Oct 2020.
His results #Covid19 IRF 0.23% and 0.05% for those below 70.

4/- And on 26 March 2020 Anthony #Fauci said:
“The consequences of #COVID19 may ultimately be more akin to those of a severe seasonal influenza”
This is a CORRECT statement.

5/- And as @NickHudsonCT says is, what the flat mortality rate hides is the 3 orders of magnitude difference in mortality between young people and the elderly.
IFR for younger than 19 is ~ 0.003%
IFR for older than 70 is ~ 5%

6/- And as correctly stated by @NickHudsonCT “further inflaming the fear is this idea of a novel virus” on 22 Feb 2020. This was another early false statement by #Tedros from @WHO building on the prelude for things to come.

7/- Patently false and #Tedros should not have publicly stated this before further scientific evidence had been obtained.
It was “NOT NOVEL” and new nor unrelated to any virus before it but actually a SARS” virus.
BUT the cat was out of the bag, worldwide fear had been stoked.

8/- As @NickHudsonCT states “I could talk for a whole day about the things that are going wrong with this paragraph”
#mariavankerkhove @WHO spreading fear and anxiety and setting the stage for “a long way to go”
So plan is, heighten the worldwide fear then get the ball rolling..

And unashamedly I admit that I believed this falsehood early on in 2020 but awoke gradually from this falsehood being perpetrated.

#mariavankerkhove @WHO made the statement of universal susceptibility which was wound back by NIH rather than #Tedros as per PANDA slides.

13/- The 2nd element of the false narrative about “asymptomatic transmission” The lady in Germany infecting her family asymptomatically was false as she was being treated for flu like symptoms and so this evaporated that argument of asymptomatic transmission.

14/- The truth is revealed very slowly. June 8 , 2020 #mariavankerkhove @WHO announces “ASYMPTOMATIC SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS IS VERY RARE”
The next day she walks back her statement saying much is still not known about asymptomatic spread.
