I bought a 1939 World’s Fair guide and it is truly a book of wonders
Shoutout to the 1939 USSR pavilion touting socialism by not having an admission fee
I love that in 1939-era New York, people were just nostalgic for even older New York. Because of course they were.
Also a lot of racism in this book, because, of course. Not gonna take any photos, but WOOF, the past.
Nothing sounds safer and less horrible than “biological surprise experiment”
Love how short this mention of computers is, like that shit isn’t going to dominate literally every single aspect of the human existence within 60 years.
