My mom didn’t want me getting into D&D because she worried the dragon on the cover was Satan-related. I told her you fight the dragons and therefore it’s anti-Satan. Got the game the next Christmas.

Depression isn’t a form of sadness. It’s not something that goes away if you just think about how good you have it or how successful you are. You can’t positivity it away. It lies to you about yourself and eats you from the inside and tells you that you alone make things worse.
Depression isn’t a thing that’s cured over an afternoon or often ever. If you’re looking to support someone with depression, listen. Sometimes it won’t make sense. Sometimes it’ll seem silly or selfish. But listen. It’s hard to reach out with depression, but being there helps.
And if you have depression, it’s a liar. It’s a YouTube comment in your head made of feelings that hurt you and slow you. You’re not bothering other people when you reach out, even when it feels like you are. You’re not selfish, even if your brain says that you are. It lies.

Started our 7 hour drive with the baby screaming, and by started I mean before we left the driveway. Pass the Benadryl.
I’m just going to keep adding to this every time I get pissed. Husband is driving my minivan and he’s asked me 3 times in 30 minutes how to use the windshield wipers.

My app is Online!
It took me ~4 weeks, maybe 35 hours/week, to make. However! I spent 2 weeks just watching courses, so 2 weeks of solid work, I think is fair to say.

The goal was to make a recipe/grocery list app. We have a weekly menu, and I'd want to select recipes and just get a grocery list automatically.
Sketching things initially helped a lot. Layout was never a problem, because I love #materialdesign and I'm stuck in the 90's...
#ngrx was definitely the trickiest part. @DeborahKurata & @dunchunter's course on #pluralsight is amazing, and everyone should watch it (if they need to work with ngrx, obvs).

Did I need ngrx? No. This could have been solved with services. But, I wanted to learn.

So Nvidia just showed their new RTX cards that can do real-time ray tracing, but a lot of gamers are asking "what exactly is the big deal about ray tracing?"

So here's my try at an educational thread. Expect a lot of over-simplifications since I'm just an artist and not a coder.
Firstly, we need to see how games are traditionally rendered using a technique called "rasterization".

At the basic level, it's just a check of the boundaries of a polygon against a pixel grid, and filling all the pixels in between.
