Harrison says he's gotten 3.7 million "files" from govt. He has gone through 1.3 millions. Three sets of privilege docs identified so far.
He says mobile data takes longer to upload and review compared to documents. 19 digital media devices have been provided. Judge Wood asks for ETA on completing review. He says mid July.
Now govt attorney is speaking. She says mid June is reasonable date for completing of review. Judge Wood indicates this is taking longer than expected. May need to revert to TAINT TEAM. Whoa.
Now Harrison seems spooked. Says he will do whatever it takes to get his review done quicker. Says they are working around clock. He has 15 full time attorneys working on this.
Judge Wood suggests review should be done by mid June, which is in accord with govt request. She also asks govt if Mr. Cohen's assistance would be helpful to get into BlackBerries.
Harrison says the blackberries are approximately 8 years old and may belong to Mr Cohen's wife. That's apparently news to govt. Judge wonders why the govt wasn't told this earlier. Harrison playing defense again.
Now on to Avenatti application... She asks govt for position. They have no position on pro hac application. @MichaelAvenatti is now speaking...
He's worried about recorded conversations. He says he got a call this week from a "member of press" who apparently played him a recorded convo between Cohen and Davidson. Wow. He accuses Cohen side of leaking.
He says the recording shows Davidson divulging attorney privileged info about @StormyDaniels to Cohen. Now he is arguing in favor of pro hac application. He says it's unusual for this type of application to be opposed and that the opposition filed with the court is irrelevant.
calls the $700/hr rate for the special master incredibly reasonable. Judge nods in agreement. Now Ryan rises to oppose the motion. He slams @MichaelAvenatti for releasing the SARS and also the wrong (Canadian) Michael Cohen. Calls it a "drive by shooting." Yikes.
Now he is moving onto a discussion of the @MichaelAvenatti bankruptcy matters. Quotes FL bankruptcy judge "stench of impropriety" remark. He's trying hard to make this info seem relevant to the instant application. He says this is so bad that it, "shakes me to my boots."
Now @MichaelAvenatti responds. Says he engaged in no improper conduct with respect to release of info...also says it's irrelevant to pro hac vice application. Judge Wood says she has a different view...she thinks NY codes apply to him. She says if he wants to participate...
...in this proceeding he will need to conduct himself differently-- e.g. stop opining on Cohen's guilt which she thinks could taint jury pool. She says he needs to stop his "publicity tour" if he wants to be a participant In this case. She's concerned about prejudice to Cohen.
Court seems to indicate that it will hold motion to intervene in abeyance. Ryan rises again to say mid June is too quick. Judge Wood again mentions going back to taint team. She says special master is moving faster than the private lawyers. She wants to stay with mid June date...
Now it's back to @MichaelAvenatti ... playing defense on bankruptcy issue. Judge pushes back a bit. Avenatti mentions Trump bankruptcies as non-disqualifying. He says it's ironic that a Trump attorney is trying to disqualify him due to a bankruptcy.
Now there is a surprise. Apparently Egan-Avenatti has represented Ms. Clifford but Avenatti just seemed to explicitly deny that Egan-Avenatti ever represented Clifford. Attorney Hendon has brought the receipts -- emails showing Egan-Avenatti involvement. Bad moment for Avenatti.
Court orders June 15 to complete doc review. Holds motions on intervention and pro hac admission in abeyance. That's it folks. /End
