1. What does "Make America Great Again" mean?

2. During the 2016 election, many snarky questions were asked by the opposition to MAGA.

3. "When was America great? What are you talking about?"

"America is already great!"

4. The phrase is only 4 words, but it has many meanings. First, it simply means that America's metrics should be Great. Jobs, Economics, etc.

5. Another meaning is to improve America's image in the eyes of the world. I always said that the word "Great" is being used as in "Alexander the Great" - not a reference to quality but to stature.

6. But the meaning I've been thinking about most recently is "Make Americans believe America is Great Again"

7. After 9/11, the United States had a patriotism flood in its system. Like an adrenaline rush, it dominated the airwaves and cultural consciousness.

8. The Bush Administration and their military industrial complex masters co-opted PATRIOTISM ITSELF, and leveraged it to fuck around on the global stage.

9. They committed the United States to pointless and detrimental activities worldwide to enrich themselves, and in the process they soiled patriotism.

10. The people who despised Bush's actions at the time conflated Patriotism with Bush's evil - It became a punching bag for all the ills and malcontent of the public.

11. The rise of the Jon Stewarts, the cosmopolitan urban elite humor, coincided with "patriotism" and American national identity being the butt of every joke - but simultaneously produced a dark self-loathing in the left.

12. They blamed themselves, and America overall, for the corrupt actions of the Bush admin, because the Bush admin did such a good job of associating itself with and leveraging the Patriotism swell after 9/11

12. Obama leveraged the Left's (and many independent Americans) newfound self loathing. He was a candidate that offered a symbolic victory over the country's rough history of race relations. He went around apologizing to the world, and tried to essentially repent.

13. The Obama administration served the same masters as the Bush administration, but because of Americans' neurotic hatred of their own identity, they were convinced by the mere lip service he was paying to their own psyches.

14. As the uniparty continued to drain America of its vitality and brainwash Americans into hating themselves and their country, the United States became like Theoden, listening to the whispers in their ears about how big of an asshole America was.

15. But the soul of America began to fight back in 2016. The right, who all this time had hard-headedly REFUSED to buy into the self-loathing being pushed on Americans, revived it.

16. It is precisely BECAUSE conservatives aren't mired in academia, cosmopolitan cafe talk, gated communities, etc that made them immune to the subversive narrative that American identity itself was problematic.

17. You see, butt-sniffing academic types like to overcomplexify things because it makes them feel smarter. But the ability to cut the bullshit and see things simply - that's something the working class have an affinity for.

18. *Both of these categories of people are needed to have a successful country*

19. We are rediscovering that it isn't our national identity that is the problem, it is corruption, greed, authoritarianism. All of those are ANTITHETICAL to the values that make up American identity and "Patriotism"

20. And so we have it, the master brander in chief also wants to rehabilitate America's brand IN THE EYES OF AMERICANS.

21. It is the only way out of the division that exists within our nation now - we must love our countrymen, and welcome ANYBODY who SHARES OUR COMMON AMERICAN VALUES.

22. A cracked beer, rock and roll in the background, 2 middle fingers up to authority, and a can-do outside the box hard working attitude - that is patriotism to me.

23. I don't care who somebody is, what their creed or skin color is - if they want to stick it to the man, and they want to get shit done, they can fit in in the USA

24. We as a MAGA movement should recognize that our countrymen on the left are merely sick like king Theoden, they've been convinced that they should hate themselves - but WE NEED THEM TOO. We need their creativity, we need them to push society forward in outside the box ways.

25. They are the yin to our yang, because their brains are wired differently, and that's OK. In fact, it works to our benefit when our country and society are healthy.

26. So what does Make America Great Again really mean?

It means that every American should reembrace that America is great - and that's why we're all here. We CHOOSE our national association; we don't choose any of the bullshit petty identities that the Media obsess over.

27. Make Americans Believe that America is Great Again.

I hope we can pull it off.
