I wrote the following two years ago, and I stand by it - even more so, now:

This is directed at anyone who feels that their beliefs supersede the rights of others, or who believes that their own personal moral stances and choices entitle them to commit violence - in word or deed - against those with whom they disagree.

To those who consider themselves the "normal" human beings, and see everyone else - Women, Asians, Hispanics, Black people, Native Americans, Gays, Lesbians, Transgender, Disabled, Muslims, and so on as "Other" - know this:

We are not the "others" in this equation.

You are.

We are humanity. All of us. And when you see us as lesser beings; as unequal and unworthy, you are setting yourself apart from humanity. You are removing yourself from the rest of us, which makes *you* the lesser being, by your own choice.

You are choosing isolation by placing yourself on a pedestal that does not exist.

If you believe that your way is the only right way, and that only those who fit into your narrow physical or mental range are valuable, you are decreasing your own value to humanity.

Those of you who traffic in hate, or treat others as lesser beings:

You are becoming an increasingly irrelevant island in the ocean that is humankind, and if you continue, you will be left behind.

And it will not be our doing - it will be yours.
