NEW: In a media briefing @HHSGov refuses to answer a question about if the agency is still receiving migrant children separated from their parents.

.@HHSGov also says they still have 2,047 separated children in their custody.

That means since the last update over the weekend, only *six* separated kids have been reunited with their parents.

Unless they are STILL adding more separated children, which they refuse to answer.

I have to shout out @LisaDNews who is the dogged reporter who asked @HHSGov *three times* in a row if they’re still receiving separated kids.

They ignored her.

But she kept asking.

It was incredible.

After they ignored @LisaDNews’ questions @HHSGov asked follow ups to be emailed. So I did, and asked:

- Are you still receiving separated kids? Why did you refuse to answer?

- Does 2047 mean only six have been reunited since last update?

- 2047 as of what date?

No answer yet.

By the way: when you dial into press call like the one today, a message plays that lets journalists know the call is being recorded.

So there's a recording of @HHSGov ignoring multiple questions about whether they're still receiving separated kids.

They should release it.

Another thing confirmed today on @HHSGov call we should be really clear about.

We were told the 522 kids reunited so far were reunited by @CBP.

That means those kids were never handed over to HHS.

In other words, HHS may have only reunited a handful -- if any -- kids so far.

NEW: As I reported on @TheLastWord with @Lawrence, just heard from @HHSGov.

They say they’re still receiving separated kids — “when there is credible jeopardy, or criminality.”

Didn’t answer other questions.
