One of my BIGGEST pet peeves is when people say “don’t work hard, work smart.”

First of all, shut the fuck up. That literally makes no sense. Any successful person will tell you they had to work hard to get where they are.
Working hard is a requirement; a prerequisite. If you do not want to work hard, your success will only be temporary.

You can make good money but it won’t last. You can get attention but it won’t be genuine.

Working hard is not optional.
Working hard is relative. Everyone has their own definition. The only real definition that matter is your own.

But to say you don’t have to do it at all is fucking arrogant and stupid.
I know someone is going to say “well janitors and garbage men work hard. Why aren’t they rich?”

Because they’re fucking janitors and garbage men idiot. That job is easy to replace. It’s not difficult to mop the floor or dump the trash.
Working hard is really about learning and investing in yourself. For me, working hard is when I’m consuming a ton of information on my subject.

It’s reading, watching the valuable YouTube videos and consuming the right podcast.
I believe that in order to work smart, you must first work hard.

You have to go through your own learning processes and failures.

You have to earn that shit.
All of the people that never had to work hard, usually don’t last.

The businesses that start off with millions of loans
The kids who have everything handed to them

These things don’t last.
That stage of working hard is where you “earn your stripes.”

If you never failed, you can’t even appreciate success.

Failure usually comes from working hard.
Then, you can work smart. After you’ve learned and failed, use that experience to make better decisions.

That’s being smart.
Working smart is delegating responsibilities or hiring people that are better at certain things than you.

Ultimately, working smart means you’re saving time, energy and money.
Work smart AND hard.

Only work hard and you could be rich.
Only work smart and you could be rich.

Do both, and you’ll be wealthy. ◼️
