One baby has chronic asthma and ICE CONFISCATED THE BABY’S INHALERS.
The child was in severe respiratory distress due to flu type A caused most likely by days locked “ice box”. It is kept at maybe 60 degrees, lights on 24/7, no windows, constant a/c, families sleep on the floor in cages and are normally given nothing but a reflective paper.
They are not allowed to wash or bathe. I have talked to people who said they were kept in this “ice box” for 20 days.
If the child is under 10, they are kept with their mother. If the child is under 10 and accompanied by the father, they are separated.
Over 10, they are in separate cages. (Did I really just type that!?!?) I have heard it is so crowded, there is hardly room for everyone to lie down at once.
Almost all the parents we talk to say their children barely ate while in the “ice box. ”
Most of what we see in the clinic are children with cough/colds who complain of flu-like symptoms.

This is a recipe for disaster. The flu can be fatal for young children, especially those with taxed immune systems caused by these conditions.
I have heard these very cold conditions are “to kill germs.” This sounds like how you would treat rats in a lab. I’m furious that this is how we treat children in America. — in McAllen, Texas.
