💥💥Poll 03💥💥
As an employee, does your parents help to speak to employer on your behalf?
OR
As parents, do you speak to your child's employer on his/her behalf?

If YES, in what instances?
The result of poll
93% says NO

But somehow for NEW DOCTORS, a few of them still need their parents to voice out for them
I believe as compared to other professions, doctors have and always will have their employment guaranteed
Finish med school and wait for placement
Even the interview with JPA Jab Perkhidmatan Awam is such a sham although we try to make it look real by wearing coat and tux
Surprisingly, a small minority of doctors have their parents accompanied them to the interview or report in to the hospitals they are posted to
I believe other professions are not only subjected to the harsh job-hunting weather, they are also subjected to "menteeship" drill
I can't compare this generation to my generation because it would make my argument sounds archaic but I compare this profession to other profession and the results still the same. Some junior doctors remain strawberries or snowflakes. They can't stand up to adulthood
Here's an insight that I could not grasp because graduate doctors should be an adult who are supposed to be self-sufficient and taking care of patients, how can they still be so dependent on parents?
Is it intrinsically their problem or it is the overprotective parents?
(2) ON MEDICAL OFFICERS (MO) BEING MEAN
I was an MO once and I foresee how much this layer of hierarchy will be squeezed tight like the middle-income group in the society. Low income group will get benefits and help from gov, high income is self sufficient and making excesses.
Similarly, MOs are being in the middle, are generally squeezed from bottoms up and from above. HOs under their care are ONLY working shifts, although some HOD head of dept stretch the shift hours abit. And MOs generally, need to work with HOs and also educate/teach/supervise them
The problem here from HOs is 2-fold
(i) UNDERTRAINED/PRIVILEDGED HOs: Guestimate 1/3 to 1/2 of them are undertrained that they could not draw normal GI tract that probably Form 5 students could &afew of them are ANAK datuk/datin/tan sri or ANAK to relatives to datuk/datin/tansri
How can undertrained HOs be allowed into the MOH, then one must see how MOHE (min of high education) rapidly passing understaffed and underequipped med schools and dumping HOs to MOH (Read-Profiteering) MOs basically needs to run a free med school in hospital
(ii) THE MOs NOW are HO in SHIFT SYSTEM: because of the overloaded HOs during their training or MOH's opening up new hospital for training eventho don't have sufficient trainers
The HOs of yesteryears is now the MOs and they could not cope &things get blamed down to current HOs
