Scoop: Top FBI cyber official & co-head of foreign influence task force who left in June has been replaced by someone who "knows absolutely nothing" about cyber.

Jeffrey Tricoli left b/c bosses wouldn't promote him, saying he was too cyber-focused.

New: FBI declines to comment specifically on Jeffrey Tricoli's departure (politico.com/newsletters/mo…) but says "the mission of each division and task force is not dependent on any one person" and the foreign influence task force "continues its work without interruption."
