New indictment on Butina says that US person 1 (Erickson): "worked with BUTINA to arrange introductions to U.S. persons having influence in American politics, including an organization promoting gun rights for the purpose of advancing the interests of the Russian Federation."

Indictment expands timeline once again, pushing Butina's actions on behalf of Russian govt all the way back to January, 2015. This was just months after Kremlin staffers were discussing support for her: medium.com/@ScottMStedman…

I was told by one source in the banking industry that the company was VTB. I was never able to verify this completely, but the person has been in the industry for 30+ years.

Maria Butina, 29, a Russian citizen residing in DC, was arrested on July 15, 2018, in Washington, D.C., and made her initial appearance this afternoon before Magistrate Judge Deborah A. Robinson in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
She was ordered held pending a hearing set for July 18, 2018.
