Here's a fun little detail that most people missed. Might be confirmation bias, and it may be meaningless, but it caught my ear, and I was reminded of it today.
Director Wray is questioned after the IG report by the Senate - specifically Senator Blumenthal (loser)

Blumenthal is asking about the Giuliani leak about the Weiner laptop, and saying that the FBI leaking this to Giuliani had a big negative impact on Hillary Clinton's election chances. He bitches about it for a couple minutes.
He then asks Wray if Wray is aware of any ongoing leaks to Nunes or anyone else. Wray responds:
"I would absolutely if I was aware of a leak, I would take appropriate action. I don't want to cast aspersions on the New York field office which is one of the best offices..."
"...but I don't condone leaks anywhere to anyone and I don't care what the motivation is, no matter how ***altruistic*** it might be, and leaks are wrong, and we need to be tough on them. "
Altruistic? Senator Blumenthal was just bitching for 5 minutes about how harmful these leaks were, and how whoever leaked them must be evil.

But WRAY views those leaks, about the Weiner laptop, as Altruistic :)
In fact, I bet WRAY considers those leaks to be what they actually were - whistle blowers. None of those guys are in any danger.

Now why would a deep state institutionalist crony view those leaks as altruistic?
