A man has 4 sons, one is living a luxurious life, well educated, well dressed, has enough money and resources for his coming generations. Second son is doing okay in life, earns a stable amount, makes his ends meet. (1/5)

Third one can barely make his ends meet. He is uneducated, poor and earns just enough for one meal.
Fourth son is so poor that he can't even afford basic necessities in life. If he is not supported now, he'll anyway die. #NRCForSecureIndia (2/5)
In this situation, is it okay for the father to adopt a fifth son?
Will it be fair for the other kids, who are his prime responsibility?

We are a great country. Agreed. But, any elected leader who sits in upper and lower house has no right to support snatching of resources from those for whose protection they vowed when elected.

I get that government and the opposition are always poles apart in their ideologies, but when it comes to national security, the house should behave as a single unit. AS A COUNTRY.

On this Independence Day, when we celebrate the U.S. as a democracy and as we await a Scalia-like successor to Justice Kennedy to be nominated for #SCOTUS, some thoughts on how the Court could set the cause of voting rights back significantly in the years to come: /1
The first way that the Court can negatively affect voting rights is by holding that democracy-enhancing laws like the Voting Rights Act or campaign contribution limits are unconstitutional. The second way is by upholding state laws making it harder to register and vote. /2
In the first category, at the top of my list is that #SCOTUS with a fifth hard conservative on race could either hold that Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act is an unconstitutional racial classification or interpret it so weekly it dies death by 1,000 cuts /3

She liked playing basketball, dancing, and girls.

Yeah Anjali was gay.
She was also in the closet. She couldn't come out. She feared her family would be devastated and her friends would distance themselves from her.

Gibson guitars is filing for bankruptcy.

News articles are pointing to their bid to expand into other aspects of music equipment as the cause.

Nobody is putting much emphasis on the private equity involved.

You might remember KKR Funds from Toys R Us.
Gibson is another victim of private equity's reckless abandon.

It doesn't fit into the "retail apocalypse" narrative. After all, they don't really *sell* the guitars, they just make them.

So another excuse must be found.

"Gibson shouldn't have tried to expand!"
On a personal note: I've always been a Fender guy, but I appreciate and respect Gibson guitars. They've made just as much history and so much of the music we love owes Gibson a great deal.

It saddens me that the company was put in this mess.
