I hope everyone is supporting @rpetty and @AndrewPollackFL so we can #FixIt.

Tragedy is the unfortunate reason I was given a platform. I will never forget my mission which is to make sure schools are secured.
It's my honor to endorse @rpetty and @MendelsonBCPS6 for School Board. We need to #FixIt and they're a large part of the solution. This isn't about party. This is about safety.

I know my endorsement doesn't mean much, but if I can get even 1 more vote, I'll be forever humbled.
I will do anything I can to make sure we flip the Broward School Board. With 2 weeks left until school, it's every student at Douglas' job to join in this mission to secure our schools.

Behind the leadership of @AndrewPollackFL, @PollackHunter, @TimWSternberg, and others,...
... we are closer than ever to having safe schools.

In November, Florida needs to elect @RonDeSantisFL for governor.Congressman DeSantis is someone I've gotten to know well and I'm confident he'll hold the Coward of Broward and the other incompetent fools in Broward accountable
It's our job, as Americans, to say NO to incompetence and hold our government accountable.

I am proud to know @AndrewPollackFL, @rpetty, @marcorubio, and @RonDeSantisFL and call them friends. We will make America safer, count by county, school by school. We will #FixIt

Comparing being kicked off a private company’s platform to millions dying is despicable.
No one should be banned from @Twitter and as a community, powerful voices such as @realDonaldTrump and @benshapiro have spoken out against it. I know people have met with executives at Twitter, too, but what Laura is doing right now makes everyone look unreasonable and crazy.

On this Thanksgiving, I have so many people I would like to thank, so here goes...

Thank you @rpetty and @AndrewPollackFL for being there for me every step of the way. We will never forget the tragedy that happened at MSD; your initiative since then is so selfless.
Thank you @benshapiro for being the first notable figure to reach out and offer guidance after the shooting. I was a fan of yours from before and I was shocked when you had called me.
Thank you @charliekirk11 for giving me a chance to educate people. You are a mentor and dear friend. You mean the world to me.

Let me tell you the story of the State Lege trips.

My mother comes from a small town; her family has been in the area for almost 200 years now. Her g’g’grandparents on both sides founded 3 of the small towns in the area. She’s related to everyone.

Which happened. When I was a small child. A distant family member got HIV from a blood transfusion, got kicked out of school, and Smother became an HIV/AIDS activist, 2000 miles away from the actual sick kid. Her activism consisted mostly of throwing parties (aka fundraisers.)

Everyone knows the story of the Sirens from the Odyssey. They're the singers who tempt all those who sail past to listen to them forever, forgetful of their families. Odysseus, instructed by Circe, has himself bound to the mast so he can listen to their song.
He also has his men bung up their ears with wax so they can't hear. In the modern popular imagination, the Sirens are tempting because they're sexy mermaid-ish ladies -- as in the scene in "O Brother Where Art Thou".
But the Homeric Sirens passage, in Book 12, is surprising in at least two ways. One is how short it is; the episode has become a much bigger part of the Odyssey in modern retellings than it is in the Homeric poem.

1. Shift from naked opinions to the empirical.

There's nothing wrong with us expressing our opinions on politics. But, I suggest we focus more on empirical analysis so that we can bolster our positions and arguments on policy matters.
So, if a trump fan says immigrants take away jobs from Americans, we can respond by labeling the argument as racist or dumbfounded. Or, we can rebut the argument with empirical evidence that their assumption is wrong.
