Chris Roberts is currently on AtV. He's basically thrown John Pritchett (the designer of the flight model who recently left) under the bus. They're going to redo his IFCS flight model.

He's also just confirmed that 3.3 is no longer end of Q3 release. They are going to release it for CitizenCon in Oct 10th.

Which means 3.4 is now pushed into 2019.

Just a week ago when the whole flight dynamics fiasco erupted, I wrote a short missive about how it should've been done.

He just basically described that's what they're NOW going to do in the IFCS re-work.

They spent 7 yrs re-inventing the wheel, hiring people who had NO clue how to create what he wanted. And this past year, they've been going back to old school methods that most of us mastered decades ago because, you know, we actually BUILD and RELEASE games.

Now he's stumbling over whether ability to rent/buy ships using in-game currency will be in 3.3 or not. Of course he can't say that it will cuz if they do it now, it will TANK their RMT model and kill their funding.

The UI and mechanics DO exist. They're pretending they don't.

It's amazing to me that the head of a $190M company is right now - live - trashing the work of key people (who have left). And he wonders why they can't attract nor retain top talent.

He just basically said Pritchett's 4+ yr work, was crap and needs to be redone.

He did the same thing when Illfonic bailed on Star Marine fps module. He did it again when Behavior Interactive bailed etc.

This is what he does. Throughout history of his screw ups, it's always been someone else's fault.
