It’s “likely to be a step toward entrenching the view among the elite that racial animus isn’t so bad, so long as it’s directed at the group that was the long-running target of Jeong’s contempt.”

That is, white America. nationalreview.com/corner/by-its-…
For decades after amazing progress in civil rights in America, there wasn’t a real sense of “white solidarity.”

Radicalization of the Left along racial lines will create it, really for the first time, by its incessant demonization of “white people.”

Sad but inevitable.
You can’t promote and celebrate black and Latino nationalism in America for as long and as virulently as the Left has without the consequences inevitably bubbling up to mainstream media and culture. You can’t promote racial divisions without the ugly consequences.
That’s another ugly facet of the Jeong story nobody is talking about:

The race-obsessed hard Left—now including the radicalized New York Times, apparently—has, with all its demonization of “white people,” has summoned forth a racial enemy coalition that didn’t exist before.
As usual, it’s a world-historical case of projection with these people:

This is the same thing the Left accused the Right of Post-9/11, saying the War on Terror was creating and encouraging a stronger religious solidarity among Muslims.
Jeong believed she was operating within the mainstream of Leftist thought by tweeting hatred of “white people” like she was completely race-obsessed.

She was.

But now America has a glimpse into that subculture—ratified by NYT, no less!—and is horrified.
