चित्र में दिया गया कागज़ महाराजा रणजीत सिंह जी के देहावसान के बाद पेहवा में उनके वंशजों द्वारा करवाये हुए कर्म कांड की रसीद है जो रोहतक के (गुमनाम) इतिहासकार श्रीमान विनोद कुमार पंचोली जी के कार्यालय में सुरक्षित है।

पंचोली जी के पूर्वजों ने यह अभिलेख अपनी बहियों में सुरक्षित किया था। उनके पूर्वजों ने महाराजा रणजीत सिंहजी के देहावसान के बाद पिहोवा में पिंडदान की रस्म निभाई थी।

महाराजा रणजीत सिंह "सांसी" जाति के थे!! सिक्खों को हिन्दू धर्म/ कर्मकांड से अलग बताने की कोशिश 1905 से हो रही है !!

Till 1905, There was a मूर्ति of "Lord Vishnu" inside Golden Temple compound & Brahmins used to do "Hawan" as well.

When British installed "Manager" (Sarbarah, who used to report to Dy Comm of Amritsar) in 1883, seeds of "Separate Sikh identity were sown.

The removal of idols from the precincts of the Golden Temple in May 1905 raised a controversy about Sikh identity.

The manager (sarbarah) of the Golden Temple, Sardar Arur Singh, issued orders on 1 May 1905, prohibiting the Brahmans fm sitting in the parikrama with the idols.

Till 1905, "अग्नि कुंड के फेरे" during Wedding was practiced widely by Sikhs.

Later, अग्निकुंड was replaced with
गुरु ग्रंथ साहिब !!

A host of measures were taken to separate Sikkhism from Hindu ancestry and project a separate identity.
