I was watching a House of Commons debate last night in which @DominicRaab makes a statement on the White Paper setting out the Government’s plans for legislating for the withdrawal agreement and implementation period. hansard.parliament.uk/Commons/2018-0…
After he had finished, @Keir_Starmer got up and made a few points and asked a few questions: (Starmer goes on to give lots of examples of how l the legislators are tying themselves in knots over this problem.) 
In response Raab does not answer a single point raised by Starmer but tries to change the issue by falsely accusing Starmer of having spoken against the implementation period.
But my ears really pricked up when the subject of citizens rights came up. As Raab put it:
Of course this is a deeply disingenuous account. The government's priority was to remove rights from EU citizens here and in order to get this they have largely abandoned UK citizens in the EU to the mercy of individual E27 countries. But that fact aside...
Starmer then asked the killer question:
Raab's response was the following evasive, untrue, and nonsensical word salad:
Raab has now been asked several times in parliament about what happens to EU citizens in the UK under a "no deal" scenario. In every case he has simply ducked the question by spouting irrelevant drivel in response.
I wish someone in the media would try and get a straight answer from him on this and, having failed to do so, point out to their readers/viewers that they are not getting any straight answers form the UK government on this question.
