On May 27, 2016, George Papadopoulos was in Athens, Greece, carrying out meetings with officials. Papadopoulos had also formed a bond with the Greek Defense Minister, Panos Kammenos, giving him access to the high levels of Greek Government.

This could explain why Papadopoulos was able to carry out those meetings at the United Nations General Assembly with the United Kingdom MPs and the Greek MPs.

Papadopoulos also reached out to Reverend Alex Karloutsos shortly after being named on Trump's campaign, which allowed him to make the initial Greek connections.

Since @jimsciutto doesn't understand that Christopher Steele was hired in June 2016 and the contract between Fusion GPS and Free Beacon ended before then, and that the first memo was written for June 20, 2016, I will explain it:

Christopher Steele was hired to write the dossier.
The fact that @CNN and @jimsciutto keep saying that Republicans funded the dossier would join with @Comey's idea that Republicans funded the dossier, which is completely incorrect.
You know, it's not the first time @jimsciutto has claimed that parts of the dossier have been verified. This was back in February 2017 though. I wonder who his source is?

1. In the midst of the DiGenova news and general chaos? BIG news here. Bryan Lanza, the Trump campaign deputy comms director, urged Papatopoulos to go for interview with RU news agency, while emphasizing the benefits of "a US partnership with Russia".
2. Vain attempts to depict Papadopoulos as a low-level volunteer clash with the reality of him RECEIVING AUTHORIZATION or even encouragement from top Trump campaign officials. Papadopoulos had MORE extensive contact with Trump campaign AND transition than has been acknowledged.
3. WaPo was told about emails turned over to investigators that contain the exchange between Lanza and Papadopoulos. Now for the kicker: the emails show that BANNON AND FLYNN COMMUNICATED WITH PAPADOPOULOS about his efforts to broker ties between TRUMP and TOP FOREIGN OFFICIALS.
