BREAKING: Federal prosecutors have reportedly granted immunity to David Pecker, CEO of American Media, Inc., as part of the investigation into Trump’s former personal attorney, Michael Cohen. Pecker has flipped on Trump!

Pecker is the publisher of the National Enquirer, that bought a story from former Playboy model Karen McDougal as part of an apparent “catch and kill” effort. The tabloid bought the rights to McDougal’s claims of an affair with Trump for $150000, in a deal brokered by Cohen.
Pecker’s assistance appeared to have informed the charging documents made public on Tuesday as part of Mr. Cohen’s guilty plea to eight criminal charges, including campaign-finance violations tied to the payments.
American Media executives, including Pecker, were involved in both hush-money deals that formed the basis of Michael Cohen’s guilty plea to campaign-finance violations. One was a $130k to Stormy Daniels and the second to Karen McDougal the former Playboy model for $150k.

The lawyers for President Trump's former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, made clear in a court filing last night that he is cooperating extensively with three ongoing investigations around the president: Mueller's, one by S.D.N.Y. over hush payments, and one by New York's AG.

The FBI has so far been unable to access an encrypted Blackberry agents seized from President Trump's former personal attorney Michael Cohen.
Aside from the Blackberry, the court-appointed special master has finished her review of materials the FBI seized from Cohen. The vast majority of those records have been turned over to prosecutors; 7,146 items were withheld as privileged and 285 as "highly personal."
The gov't has a great deal of power to force its way into encrypted devices when it wants to. For example, it's now held one suspect in custody for nearly three years because he hasn't complied with a judge's order requiring him to decrypt a hard drive.
