Public pension funds in #NJ and #OH used **HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS of taxpayer money** to bankroll a failing business: #AMI, the company that owns The National Enquirer.

AMI/The National Enquirer is not owned by @realdonaldtrump’s pal, David Pecker. It’s owned by Chatham Asset Management (hedge fund).🤨
Chatham & another Chatham co. manage **$500 million of #NJ state pension funds & $125 million of #OH state pension funds** and are raising new money/trying to refinance **$450 million in AMI debt**. Only w/Chatham’s support did Pecker keep control of AMI.

#UAE’s heroic #counterterrorism operations in #Yemen against #AlQaeda are well spoken and praised by the #US Forces; but our friends at #AP are so happy to debunk those live operations and efforts easily !
US Forces and defense sec. didn’t call us the #LittleSparta for no reason; we fought like warriors in the face of #Iran’s terror, presented sacrifices of our men, saved poor #Yemeni children, and rebuilt the south of #Yemen !

I wanted to share a personal story about failure/trading tonight. I think I've learnt a lot from it and maybe somebody else can benefit from it as well. I've been trading since I was a teenager and thought I had finally figured it all out.
It was late 2014 and returns had been very good (up >800% in last 3 years, Sharpe ratio 2.26). I was especially happy with it as I was only doing it part time (maybe 10hrs/week total) while working as a resident and later management consultant.
I was mainly trading biotech and some special situations investing. Holding a lot of cash (55% average) and being disciplined enough to only play when I had high conviction/a real edge.
