State Dept confirms @SecPompeo spoke with Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha of the Republic of Korea to talk next steps on DPRK engagement
Pompeo and Kang reaffirmed their joint commitment to a "final, fully verified denuclearization of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea" in line with Kim Jong Un's promises at recent Singapore Summit.
"The two pledged to maintain close coordination and agreed that pressure must continue until the DPRK denuclearizes," said SD spox Heather Nauert.
The same goes for Japanese Foreign Min. Taro Kono.
