Who stands to benefit from muzzling independent journalists? Generally speaking, the trusted independent journalists who do this work are less susceptible to outside influence from advertisers, corporate overlords and investors (foreign or domestic). / more @traciemac_Bmore
I can a-test the amount of implied and direct interference in U.S. newsrooms is extreme. It is one of the main reasons, they missed the story, failed to accurately report on it and why they still have not told America everything they know. @traciemac_Bmore
No examination of Trump-Russia can be complete without an investigation into network newsroom structures, their ownership and how boards and their members, executives, hosts and journalists misled the public. /end @traciemac_Bmore
