I did this thing a few weeks ago. I subscribed to Breitbart updates. It was around the time Tommy Robinson stuff was going on and I wanted to keep an eye on what the were up to. Let me tell you, the email updates come in at 22:45 each day, basically ruining my pre-bed relaxation
AND I'll tell you another thing. It's a totally predictable, rubbish publication. I thought it would be like the Daily Mail where you pick it up and kind of can't stop reading because it's like right wing crack, but it's just awful. I did it so you don't have to. UNSUBSCRIBE
Oh and as a bonus for subscribing you get these other emails selling scummy investment schemes or diet pills. And the other day I got one from The Donald himself! What a ride

In the final para here @NickCohen4 suggests that under a Corbyn Labour government the Human Rights Act would be threatened as it places checks on governments... not sure about that! Certainly no signs of it in anything any Labour politician has said
I do get the point and also worry about some of the anti-dissent tendencies around Corbyn's movement. But whether a Corbyn government would go as far as unravelling the HRA which he and his colleagues have clearly supported, I doubt.

There are some worrying elements with disturbing historical echoes.
5. In recent weeks, 'Tommy Robinson' has used the term 'Cultural Marxism' increasingly often, alongside side his denunciations of 'fake news'.

'Cultural Marxism' is a refitting of the Nazi idea of 'Kulturbolschewismus' - the idea that culture is being subverted by the Jews.
5a. 'Tommy Robinson' may be funded by organisations with strong links to Israel, but this does not explain away or negate the fact that he is mainstreaming an idea once confined to the dark spaces of the Far Right internet.

So a few weeks ago something happened to friends of mine that made a tough situation that they were going through even worse. They'd gone through the tragedy of getting a fatal foetal anomaly diagnosis only last year.
The campaign was kicking off, and they went away to take a break over Easter, coming home to find one of the "Licence to Kill" Embryo posters staring in the window at them. As parents who were grieving, and also caring for a 2 year old, and working, this was just too fucking much
Thankfully the wind removed the poster from outside their door and their world was a little lighter for it. But the added stress of it forced them to make their suffering public. Not able to grieve privately the cruel campaign of the NOs forced them to make their pain public
