I am going to chart how an Iranian anti-Semitic conspiracy theory relating to Soros becomes legitimate news in Israel's most circulated newspaper, then gets a share from the PM of Israel in his FB page. It is an extraordinary tale about Bibi's animosity to Soros -and fake news. 
Two days ago, Israel Hayom, owned by the Adelson family, published a report signed by "staff writers". The headline: "Iran confirms: working with Soros funds…Iran Foreign Minister said in Parliament that Teheran is working with Open Society funds of the anti-zionist billionaire"
I found the piece strange. Zarif said, according to the report, that the funds are "working closely" with the Iranian government,priding himself that the operation remained "arranged".Started reading about Zarif's q&a in the Majles, from which this information was allegedly taken
First of all, Zarif said no such thing. Turns out that a MP from Mashhad, an extremist and former Revolutionary guard, an enemy of the Rouhani circle, raised a known conspiracy theory, dating a decade ago. Read the actual quotes of Zarif here: irna.ir/fa/News/830203…
These pictures are from an Iranian extremist utube account promoting this theory. It argues that Khatami and his allies, allegedly Zarif (which was serving as the UN ambassador for Iran) collaborated with Soros to overthrow the Iranian regime. An Antisemitic conspiracy theory.
This gained traction after 2009 when Soros was accused that he planned the mass protest against the Iranian elections. Some links:

this last picture is from a movie produced by Iran's intelligence ministry presenting a Cabal with Soros directing the late senator McCain fight Iran. BTW Open society did operate at the time in Iran, more than a decade ago, but then was outlawed and its representative jailed.
Back to Zarif. He was asked about his connections and defended himself by saying that as ambassador to the UN he held contact with many institutions in the US including Open society, that was his job, and that by this he was able to "limit and regulate" their operations.
I should add that Soros himself probably has/had EXACTLY the same opinion of the Iranian regime as does Netanyahu– according to this: . His organizations are banned in Iran. So its laughable to suggest Iran "confirming" working with him. Anyway-it did not.
Somehow all these FACTS escaped the Israeli newspaper close to the PM and the PM himself. Seizing on a wrong translation, they misrepresented an answer to a question stemming from an anti-Semitic lie. Resulting with a wrong headline, it was shared by the PM of Israel to millions.
Thus, Iran's extremists try to spread a lie and associate a Jew with the reformists, getting help from Jerusalem. This enthusiasm is a result of Soros being a progressive donor opposed to Israel's policies. PM office response: "the news piece speaks for itself". It sure does. END
