So unfortunately for business and individuals affected we will almost certainly have no certainty on continuing participation in international agreements like EU trade agreements until the end of the year - at best 2/
If there is a Withdrawal Agreement then the EU will notify third countries that agreements should continue to apply to the UK. Best case, this may happen in December, and most countries will agree with no changes in terms 3/
Worst case, no withdrawal agreement, UK on our own to replicate as well as possible agreements, a handful will continue due to good work (like the Southern Africa EPA) but most will not be ready in time, so we'll lose the benefits 4/
What Parliament should be demanding is proper information and reporting on progress. It is a disgrace that this Government wants to be so secretive when livelihoods and businesses are at stake. This is not how other countries do things. 5/ ends
