Trump and Kilimnik, whom Mueller's team has alleged had ongoing ties to Russian intelligence during the election, also allegedly met in Madrid, although the documents do not specify when the alleged meeting took place.

Now that Manafort has blown it, let's take a look at his plea deal. He pleaded guilty to: 1) conspiracy against the US, conspiracy to commit a) money laundering b) tax fraud, c) violate Foreign Band Account Reports Act; d) violate FARA; and e) lie to US DOJ.
Manafort pleaded guilty to 2) Conspiracy Against the US - witness tampering while on pre-trial release. He also agreed to plead guilty to ALL the charges in the earlier VA case, those also involved false tax returns and bank fraud.
So Manafort was convicted on 8 felonies and pleaded to 12 more. AND HE WAIVED ALL RIGHT TO CHALLENGE OR APPEAL. That was why Papadopolis's effort to delay incarceration was denied this week -- because even if the SC Regulation was struck down, it didn't matter.

What does that mean? He conspired to commit a crime against the US or to defraud the US:
A conspiracy, definitionally, requires more than one conspirator. Who did Manafort conspire with? The first paragraph dealing with Count 1 names Richard Gates and Konstantin Kilimnik "and others"
