This is who Garrett Ventry is. He works for CRC Public Relations Firm. 
And, until today, he worked for @ChuckGrassley, as a communications advisor, on leave of absence from his job with CRC. He was recommended by the Federalist Society to the republican Senators of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
They know that people & journalists love irony. What better irony than for the man hired to help the GOP respond to accusations that Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted someone
to have a “sexual harassment” case of his very own!

But no! To me, this appears to be a highly organised attempt to program the public with false equivalencies. Ventry resigns because of a historic ‘he said/she said’ situation & we are expected to (& will) lap up the ironic parallels between this situation & the Kavanaugh’s claim
But a disputed claim of sexual assault /smothering/ deprivation of liberty is not really parallel to a disputed claim of sexual harassment.
I believe this is a palpable attempt to manipulate the public & media into not looking further into communications between Ventry & Grassley

Now we are all reading stories containing the phrase “sexual harassment” and the name “Kavanaugh”. and the word “claim”

To me, it’s clear that the people pushing for Kavanaugh’s appointment (in the most underhanded and unethical way possible) are trying to play powerful word association games
“Sexual harassment” (to push out “sexual assault”)

They say “sexual harassment *claims*” and the plural term makes it even more click baity/schadenfreudy.
But when you read the article in light of my conspiracy theory, well, it’s the one claim, the alleged complainant has not replied...and what’s the end result?

The end result is that they are hoping to feed into fears that men could lose their job over one, disputed complaint.

They are pushing down the (true) narrative that Kavanaugh is accused of smothering a 15 year old girl in order to rape her, & she escaped.

I suspect @GarrettVentry has not lost any real source of income. I suspect he has a deal to live in ignominy right now, for the purpose of ‘taking one for the team’, and remember again, that he was (until today) a “Senior Account Executive” for CRC - the Public Relations firm
and that he is aware of some deal down the track that will advance his career.
Probably with the same company that provided such memorable advice to their GOP clients as ‘run with that Doppelgänger theory, @EdWhelanEPPC’ - it will help sell the idea of “reasonable doubt”

@GarrettVentry is also probably aware that if this strategy helps to halt, even a little bit, the haemorrhaging of public support for Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court, he will have helped to provide cover to push through a judge with a deciding vote.
@GarretVentry will be aware that if this strategy works even a tiny bit, that he will have helped @ChuckGrassley and Mitch McConnell @SenateMajLdr push through /plow through a judge who will cast a deciding vote on the legality of subpoenaing Trump.
@GarrettVentry will be aware that if this strategy works, it will allow the @GOP to consolidate power around a President whose illegitimatacy grows more evident everyday.

And just as a postscript: there is a lot of attempts to manipulate the public in order to increase support for Brett Kavanaugh. @GarrettVentry is only one part.

Final point: This is who they are trying to defame as a ‘mixed up’ person, who could forget who her attacker was, forget that he was the son of the local prosecutor, forget Brett Kavanaugh & Mark Judge.
