Grassley is quoting Biden's statements during Clarence Thomas' confirmation hearing. An interesting choice, given that even Biden has denounced his own behavior during that hearing.
Grassley claims the attorneys of other accusers are "stonewalling" and refusing to cooperate with the committee's investigation.
Sen. Feinstein thanks Dr. Ford for being present and admiringly lists Ford's credentials. Grassely interrupts, claiming he would have introduced Ford if given the chance. "I am grateful to you for your strength and your bravery," Feinstein tells Ford.
Feinstein criticizes Republicans for planning to "plow right through" regardless of what happens today.
Sen. Feinstein: "This is not a trial of Dr. Ford. It's a job interview for Brett Kavanaugh."
Dr. Ford is sworn in and begins her opening statement.
