It’s an “external locus of control”.
You pick up cues others wholly miss. You process shit you can’t explain.
It’s helpful and exhausting. Hypervigilance is both.

With Trump, all of that is both helpful and not. It’s unfun but makes it all familiar.

I can feel the Trump temp with not a whole lotta exposure. Just a glimpse is enough usually.

That’s how I’ve been able to predict what we’ll see from him next at times.
Now’s maybe a good time for one of those.
Odd as this will sound, we’re “safe” at the moment. Trump is in a bad place but our side of the street will be calm for now.

Trump retreats when shamed and when the shaming thing is too big to corral. He cocoons and hides.
Today’s NYT piece is too big to wrestle down.
It’s a near-mortal blow but at this very moment, as the public processes it, I’d bank on a sedate morning.

He may rage and tantrum about Kavanaugh - and having gotten applause for his rant about Dr. Blasey Ford tonight, we’ll likely see a Twitter replay of those lines - but largely, I think he’s injured, spinning, stewing, boiling but unlikely to rage tomorrow.

Tonight’s NYT exposé is potentially the Pentagon Papers of our generation.
It should theoretically prompt him to explosiveness...
but I’m just not feeling it.
