The investment in the education sector by the govt of the State of Osun is beginning to show results with the latest output of students from the state. #OsunWAEC2018

Data obtained from WAEC reveals that an increasing number of students in Osun state received credit passes in the core and admissible subjects in WASSCE over the years especially between 2016 and 2018. #OsunWAEC2018
The best performance of Osun students in WASSCE prior to Aregbesola's admin was in 2010 with a 15.68% pass rate. But under his first term, a sustained improvement in pass rate was recorded with an average of 21% which gives 81% improvement over a four year period. #OsunWAEC2018
There is therefore no doubt in the fact that this improvement is as a result of various reforms and initiatives implemented by the Aregbesola’s administration in Osun state since inception. #OsunWAEC2018
Some of Osun’s initiatives included training programmes for teachers, employment of more teachers, introduction of Opon Imo (Tablet of Knowledge) and distribution of instructional materials to the students among others. #OsunWAEC2018
Gov Aregbesola’s second term in Osun state witnessed continuous improvement in student performance with annual average of the num of successful candidates with at least 5 credit passes (including Maths and English) in WASSCE of 37.62% for the year 2015 - 2017. #OsunWAEC2018
The emphasize therefore is that Osun recorded its most impressive performance in WASSCE result btw 2015 and 2017 as evidenced in the increase in the annual average number of successful candidates with at least 5 credit in core subjects including Maths and English. #OsunWAEC2018
The lowest performance recorded by the State of Osun during the 12-year period under review (2006-2017) in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) was in 2007 with a pass rate of 6.86%
#OsunWAEC2018
The 45.47% and 44.59% pass rates recorded in 2016 and 2017 respectively represents a 284% increase in the number of Osun students with at least 5 credit passes (including Mathematics and English Language) between 2010 and 2017. #OsunWAEC2018
It is no longer in doubt that the Osun state govt has invested heavily in infrastructure in most schools in the state, what has not been talked about are the other components the state's govt education policy. #OsunWAEC2018
Over the last 7 years, some 30,145 teachers in the state of Osun have been trained and retrained. Capacity building has been the bedrock of the drive to improve education in Osun. #OsunWAEC2018
