Ok let’s be honest. @JayWebberNJ says the average NJ11th family will get a $6k tax refund. This is bogus math but let’s just assume it’s true- 6k is nice but it’s not life changing & it’s not worth selling my soul to the @GOP here are things that are way more important (thread)
I’d rather have the peace of mind of never again worrying about going to school or church or the movies or a dance club and being shot by an AR-15 than a $6000 tax return
I’d rather know my LGBTQ friends and family will never have to fear losing their basic human rights because of who they love than a $6000 tax return
I’d rather have the body autonomy that is due me as a human and that every male takes as a god given right than a $6000 tax return
I’d rather receive equal pay for equal work than a $6000 tax return
I’d rather never have to worry about losing my health insurance to a pre-existing condition than a $6000 tax return
I’d rather know my mother’s Medicare and social security are safe from greedy @GOP fingers to pay for their #GOPTaxScam than a $6000 tax return
I’d rather vote for an honorable, decent, qualified woman in @MikieSherrill who will represent me as a constituent of NJ11th than a $6000 tax return
