In preparation for that, I wanna lay down a few tips that I've learned after dozens of runs on the PS4 version:

KT has 2 pairs of bi-directional tunnels ports she enters/exits from.
She spends a moment looking around upon exit, so load up and aim the cannons beforehand!

There are also Wedge Beetles above, so if you wanna get a mount, this is probably the best area - but no pressure.

That said, if you can afford to bring Heat Guard, it'll make your life MUCH easier because it also negates lava chip damage!

As she loses her armor, elemental resistance changes completely - from Thunder to Ice! You may well need a different loadout for this - bring a Farcaster for quick return. (You get 1 in Supply.)
Heat damage still happens periodically.

Also, the targets are her horns; as far as I know, she can't be slain. Middle pillar can be wall-jumped off of, so you might get another mount or two.
Tail can be broken, but not cut.

So if you plan to apply Sleep, you really should save it for Phase 4.

Obviously, pack Mega Barrel Bombs.
And stop attacking when she starts wobbling and the heat stops!!

As for the map itself:
- It has endemic life exclusive to the area, along with rare versions!
- The golden Gajalaka - get rid of them ASAP. They will not stop attacking you. Ever.
