So we have four new judges on the Supreme Court. What is their constitutional jurisprudence like? Have they expanded civil rights from the bench, or cut them down? Do they believe that procedural safeguards under criminal law are inconveniences or valuable personal rights? (1/2)
How have they interpreted social welfare laws involving, for example, labour? We don't know, and nobody cares enough to make it an issue. The sheer opacity is not only imposed top-down from the Supreme Court, but we are all complicit in it. And we get the judges we deserve. (2/2)
