Some reasons why absentee mail-in ballots were rejected in Georgia, per data from the Georgia Secretary of State's office:

CHANGED MIND (one voter in Stewart County) 1/ #gapol

VOTER IS DECEASED (42 ballots with variants of this one -- actually most of fhese were marked cancelled and not rejected). One man in South Georgia is marked as VOTER IS DECEASED AS OF THIS MORNING. #gapol

LOST THE BALLOT (79 ballots with variants -- most of these were also marked cancelled) #gapol

NO BALLOT ENCLOSED IN ENVELOPE. At least 3 ballots were marked like this in the data that I can find. Because you just KNOW there's gonna be somebody who mails back the empty envelope. #gapol

SPOUSE VOTED THIS VOTER'S BALLOT. This is one lady in Savannah who threw her significant other under the bus #gapol

At least 8 people threw their ballots away, either accidentally or on purpose. (This list shows 9, but one lady in Fayette County was listed twice. Looks like she threw away the mailed one, then voted early in person.) #gapol

Hurricane Michael killed dozens of people and did millions in damage when it plowed up into the Gulf Coast and raked South Georgia -- it also got these four people's ballots. The first two appear to be from the same family. #gapol

(The hurricane-damaged ballots weren't rejected, by the way. They were damaged/lost and were marked off by the county election officials. I believe you are generally given the chance to get a new ballot if your reasons are deemed to be valid.)

BALLOT TORN BY VOTER. I spot 3 people who got issued new ballots because they reported tearing theirs.

This was a lady in East Central Georgia. (This was cancelled, not rejected; she was allowed to vote early in person.) #gapol
