Actual convo between three generations of McKews just now, via car speakerphone with too many McKews in one vehicle:

Sis: we're coming down to get you. Dad wants to go to Georgetown 🙄

Me: (sigh) ok 🙄🙄

Dad (yelling): I just suggested it last night!! We can do whatever!! /1

Me: it's ok, Dad. I just hate Georgetown because it is far, so I b*tch and moan.

Niece (yelling from backseat): Don't say b*tch!!

Dad: I don't care. We can do whatever everybody wants.

Nephew (also from backseat): Ok, let's turn on the Beatles

Dad: No Beatles!! /2

Me: (hoping to stall) you guys should do whatever you want.

Niece: Beatles, Beatles!!

Sis: (siiiiiigh) well, so the next stop is I'm coming to get you.

Me: ok. (Groan, pouring whiskey into coffee). I'll be ready in 20 minutes.

(Beatles starts playing to whoops+hollers) /3

Sis: (sigh, hangs up as Dad starts mashing buttons on radio while kids scream)

Cacophony ends.

I'm picturing like Event Horizon moving toward me in a car.

Update: My nephew informs me that we are heading to the "Nostril History Museum" -- which 😂😂😂

My niece used some birthday money to buy a plastic milk snake, which she promptly named "Whiskey" -- which got me a glare from my sister.

Me: .... Why is there a bottle of bourbon on the couch?

Dad: (flat stare)

Me: got it. Nevermind.
