@APHClarkson I'm from a city that was burnt in the War of Independence. Deliberately burnt, as a reprisal. I regularly work in a building with, even after it was rebuilt, the bullet scars on it from the start of the Civil War, forced on us by Churchill and Lloyd George.
@APHClarkson The sheer mayhem, from all sides, that went on in Cork is hard to overstate. It was a full-blown, vicious, guerrilla war, rapidly succeeded by a Civil War. Yet all of this is reduced to a glib, chin-stroking, aren't-I-smart talking point that's not even accurate.

@APHClarkson But, no. Do, do, tell us how all that bellicose unicorn-haunted Brexiter rhetoric running up against the realities of process, procedures and detail is really just like the Treaty and the Civil War, because I'm sure we're only aching to have it all explained to us.
