1. The way we see ourselves affects the decisions that we make and the actions that we take in life. Our destinies are tied to images. One of the most important images is the one that you have of yourself. That picture controls your life.(Num. 13:33) #SelfEsteem
2. You are not likely to attempt anything beyond the capacity of that person in the picture. You are not likely to feel deserving or worth anything beyond the value or the worth of the person in that picture. #SelfEsteem
3. Self-esteem is how you feel about yourself which is borne out of your opinion of yourself. What you feel about yourself determines what you think about yourself. No wonder the commandment is Love your neighbour as yourself. #SelfEsteem
4. Some people don’t love themselves. They wish they were other people. It starts with a thought or major idea of how you feel about yourself. #SelfEsteem
5. Not long after the first man and women were created, Satan launched an attack on their image. Up until then, the only thing they knew about themselves was what God told them. (Gen 3). #SelfEsteem
6. The most accurate description of Christ could only come by revelation and that is true of every single one of us. The truest things you will ever know about yourself will be the things God tells you about you. (Matt 13:16). #SelfEsteem
7. As it was for the first man & woman and the last Adam which is Jesus Christ, whenever God gives you a revelation about who you are,Satan will come after you because once he can get it, he has gotten the core of your being and capacity to function on this planet. #SelfEsteem
8. Through faith we understand that the World was framed by the word of God. Your personal world, your future and destiny will be framed by the word of God so that the things which are seen were not made from things which are visible. #SelfEsteem
9. The place where your life is made is from the invisible and it is that self-image that we are talking about. Heb 11:3. Everything that will grow out of your life comes from that invisible dimension. #SelfEsteem
10. Satan will come after whatever God tells you. Building and maintaining your self-image is spiritual warfare. We’ve got to understand how this works. The spiritual controls the physical. #SelfEsteem
11. We are turning the principle on its head when we allow the tangible to control the intangible. If we are going to build our self-esteem on how much money we have, on the exams we passed, our status, our titles, the cars we drive, Satan has got us. #SelfEsteem
12. It is spiritual warfare. The truest thing you will ever know about yourself will be the things that God has told you. Define your circumstances to hold on to what God says – that is faith, the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. #SelfEsteem
13. If you haven’t built the culture of defining yourself by revelation, you won’t even be able to define other people by revelation. #SelfEsteem
14. You find out that people whose self-esteem has been hurt are busy hurting other people’s self-esteem. People that run themselves down are likely to run other people down. It is critical for us to build our self-esteem. #SelfEsteem
15. SIGNS OF LOW SELF-ESTEEM; Feeling inferior to other people – the reality of feeling inferior to somebody else is proof that you are building your self-image on external factors. Intrinsically, all our values are equal. #SelfEsteem
16. USING NEGATIVE LABELS ON YOURSELF – If you want to know why things are not working, check yourself talk. It is one of the most powerful things on the planet. What do you call yourself? #SelfEsteem
17. EXAGGERATING YOUR CHALLENGES - Making your challenges look bigger than it really is. There is no temptation that has happened to you that is not common to man. Others have gone through it and beat it. It depends on your perspective. (1 Cor. 10:13) #SelfEsteem
18. BEING PESSIMISTIC – This means having a negative outlook on life. It is a perspective. No situation is perfectly positive or perfectly negative. What you look for is what you find. You can look for the darkness or you can focus on the Light. It is not that bad. #SelfEsteem
19. EXTREME SENSITIVITY TO OTHER PEOPLE’S OPINION - Criticism hurts but when we are extremely sensitive, it means that we are obviously building our self-esteem on what people think and say about us. Don’t give people the power they don’thave. #SelfEsteem
20. CLINGY RELATIONSHIPS - When a person is in a relationship but cannot stand or make decision on his/her own, some people are even afraid to disagree with the person they are in a relationship with. That is witchcraft and something is wrong. #SelfEsteem
21. GIVING UP TOO SOON – This is sometimes a sign of lack of confidence, the initial rejection of failure. That is why we are afraid to go back to the same place, yet we need persistence to achieve any measure of success. #SelfEsteem
22. HOW DO YOU BUILD YOUR SELF-ESTEEM? Become a child of God –That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the spirit is spirit (John 3:6) You derive your nature from the person that gave birth to you. #SelfEsteem
23. You want to have God’s nature and he doesn’t have low self-esteem. Just pray, ask for forgiveness of your sins, God forgives you, removes the nature of sin and puts his own nature there.#SelfEsteem
24. Pray for revelation – Always pray for God to open your inner eyes to see. (Jer. 33:3 and 1st Cor 2:9-10) Cultivate a relationship with the Holy Spirit. He will show you things about you that will excite and birth faith and confidence in you. #SelfEsteem
25. Meditate on the scriptures that define your identity - The scriptures that tell you who you are (2nd Cor. 5:17 and Gal 5) Any door that cannot be closed against Christ cannot be closed against you because it is no longer you but Christ that lives in you. #SelfEsteem
