I used to recommend Chrome as a secure browser. I want to explicitly rescind that recommendation.
Chrome is a secure browser, probably the most secure browser, the chrome security team are clearly some of the best in the world. But the creeping integration of Google's business model is now impossible to ignore and is having privacy impacts across marginalized communities.
Just use Firefox and start using Tor Browser - and understand that modern trend of the web browser being the operating system is bad for security and privacy.
(and yes, I'm aware that Brave exists, I still stand by my recommendations)
Also....jfc the lack of nuance or understanding in my mentions of the complex factors that go into recommendations for marginalized communities is grating
