Nonsense is the belief the scientific endeavor can discover nothing true about human nature but simultaneously believing that we can understand culture and harness it to improve the human condition. Culture is an outgrowth of our animal nature rather than an outside cause.
Nonsense is marveling at the hubris of humanity, endorsing environmental harmony but rejecting the insights that seeing humans as animals provides - the only insights to improve our condition. Denigrating the capitalism which has harnessed our animal self interest for benefit.
Nonsense is rejecting the alteration of the biology of our species, rejecting the notion of intelligence. Rejecting gene editing and integration with technology that would improve us as a species because we want to signal we are good, a signaling that is itself deeply primitive.
Nonsense is rejecting any intervention to genetic improvement on our species as "eugenics" while accepting all environmental or cultural intervention to make ourselves more moral or intelligent despite evidence to the contrary.
Nonsense is only accepting ineffectual interventions to improve the human condition, rejecting technology. Nonsense is striving for the same goals of making humanity better but rejecting measures of intelligence that would define it.
Nonsense is rejecting effective intervention as "control", rejecting effective intervention as immoral. Rejecting the only interventions that could elevate our humanity as undermining humanity. Rejecting quantification of humans and groups as immoral because they're effective.
