Just had to unstick two crows from the sticky traps a woman had left on her driveway to catch rats. She drove up just after I freed them - their wings were gummed down, the whole flock shrieking overhead - and seemed nonplussed at the idea sticky traps should maybe go inside.
This happened as I was walking to get my son from school; another dad also headed there saw me and helped. It took both of us to get the crows free, because the traps kept trying to readhere. I would’ve tried to wash the excess glue from the crows, but they flew off immediately.
Neither crow tried to snap at me as we got them free and nor did the rest of the flock. Smart birds knew we were trying to help.
